Spring Raptor Migration
Thursday 5/5 11am-3pm
Wednesday 5/11 11am-3pm

Join MPG and Raptor View Research Institute scientists as we track the spring raptor migration. Volunteers will help observe and identify migrating raptors. Please be sure to bring binoculars and dress for the spring weather. Space is limited to 6 volunteers per trip. No lunch provided on these days. Please RSVP for each event to get directions and details.

Native Plant Walk
Monday 5/9 1pm - 4:30pm
Thursday 5/19 1pm - 4:30pm

Join MPG for a guided plant tour of the ranch. A ranch staff botanist will lead the tour. Please be prepared to hike in the spring weather. This event is open to the first 6 volunteers. Please RSVP for each event to get directions and details.

Ranch Tour
Tuesday 5/17 1pm - 3:30pm
Thursday 5/26 1pm - 3:30pm

Visit MPG to learn about our current projects and long-term goals. Driving tour is limited to accessible roads and by weather. Plan to spend some time walking and dress for the weather. The tour is limited to 6 participants. Please contact us to register. We will reply with directions.

About the Author

Joshua Lisbon

Joshua graduated from the University of Montana, Missoula, in 2009 with an M.A. in Intercultural Youth and Family Development. Joshua has designed and implemented wilderness and experiential-based education programs for various agencies since 2001. He has worked in Missoula since 2005 predominately with disadvantaged populations providing challenging and empowering programming for youth and adults alike.At MPG, Joshua works to coordinate with local agencies and school districts as well as the university to connect students and members of the community to MPG’s work. He also recruits and mobilizes volunteers to accomplish various projects for the ranch. In his free time, Joshua enjoys exploring Montana’s wild places. As an avid outdoorsman, he enjoys any pursuit that keeps him connected to the natural world.
