Songbirds Holding Strong at MPG Ranch

Our collaborators at the University of Montana Bird Ecology Lab (UMBEL) have tracked breeding songbird populations along MPG's stretch of Bitterroot River since 2011. Despite concerning regional, national, and global declines, MPG's songbird populations continue to hold strong. Here UMBEL reports on long term-trends at MPG and two other monitoring sites in Western Montana.
