This winter we continued our work with overwintering populations of Northern Flickers (Colaptes auratus) in the Bitterroot and Missoula Valleys. In two winters we’ve captured and color banded 55 flickers, assessed the intergrade characteristics of 54, and placed nanotags on 52.
