Turkey Vulture Project Update

We started our fifth season studying summering Turkey Vultures in the Bitterroot Valley and Missoula area in May 2023 and deployed 10 GPS transmitters. Since the project started in 2019, we have outfitted 52 vultures with transmitters, giving us new insights into the movement, behavior, and ecotoxicology of this never-before-tracked intermountain-west population.
