Mary Scofield received a B.S. in Biology from Pacific Lutheran University in 2014. She began her career with birds at the California Condor Recovery Program with the US Fish and Wildlife Service. In 2015, Mary moved to Montana to work at Raptor View Research Institute as a raptor banding technician for 6 years. While she started at MPG as a seasonal technician on the Avian Science team, Mary transitioned to full-time in 2023 and now focuses on nocturnal insectivores, woodpeckers, and several species of owls. In her free time, Mary plays hockey in Missoula, tends to her garden, and runs the trails around town.
