Kids With MHNC Visit
January 31st, 2014
Block title
On January 22, the Montana Natural History Center visited MPG. The group was a home school class working with MNHC as part of their curriculum.
It was a day of exploration in the Northern Floodplain. Students found bones, antlers, abandoned wasp nests, and feathers. We even managed to see some coyote tracks frozen in the sand.
Along the river, the ice clung high to the bank and created small caves. They were just big enough for child-sized explorers.
Another source of fascination was a ponderosa pine hollowed by fire.
